The Fly Fishing and Outdoor River-Stone-Carving original art idea was birthed back in 2005 out of
a desire to make a new type of fly fishing art utilizing the stones from the Rivers we fly fish every
year. Our stones have come from as far as South Africa, France, Chile, Montana, Idaho, Oregon,
Washington, etc. The carving of the stones is a unique free-hand process originally developed by
Jason Alexander (owner/artist/flyfisherman). Absolutely no computers, templates, or lasers, etc.
are used in ANY of these hand-made pieces. It is strictly free-hand work, and each piece is as
unique and different as the individual rocks that make the backgrounds for each signature work.
The signed and numbered prints are photographs of the original stone-carvings. Each stone is
photographed and developed under a unique process to create the prints displayed on this website.
This process is actually as unique and difficult as the original carvings themselves. Additionally, the
prints are matted and framed specifically for each piece by J.Alexander. And though individual
signed and numbered prints are available without matting and framing, selling the pieces as a
complete work is preferred. After you receive your framed art or original carvings, if you are not
completely satisfied, you may return them for a full refund!! We thank you very much for your
